After the internationally renowned Miss World pageant introduced the 'Head to Head Challenge' to judge its contestants last year, Miss Botswana Moitshephi Elias will now aim to redeem the controversial Miss Botswana pageant after being drawn in Group 7.

Elias who won the three horse race pageant in September was drawn in the group alongside Korea, Bahamas, Zimbabwe, Chile and Japan during a live draw at the Mangrove Tree Resort World, Sanya, China yesterday. For the head to head challenge, there are 20 groups consisting of six contestants each. The challenge returns for the second time after receiving 1.2 billion views, likes and shares and 14 million votes in 2017.

Each group will have one winner determined by public votes therefore Elias will bank on Batswana’s support in order to edge out other contestants in the group. If Elias manages to win the group she will face 19 other winners from various group for the 10 spots in the Miss World final 30.
