As part of her preparations for the grand finale of Miss World 2025 competitions, the reigning Miss World Botswana Anicia Gaothusi is set to embark on a tour of tourism destination sites across the country.
In partnership with Botswana Tourism Organization (BTO), Gaothusi will visit the tourism sites starting this week.
Botswana prides itself with its rich tourism sites that offer an array of different adventures, which will be pivotal for Gaothusi at Miss World competition.
According to the Miss Botswana organisation , Gaothusi is expected to visit the breathtaking Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi Pans, Maun, and Goo Moremi Gorge Resort.
Gaothusi described the opportunity availed to her by BTO as a once in a lifetime opportunity that will provide her with insights of Botswana's rich tourism.
“I sincerely appreciate BTO for hosting me and sharing such invaluable insights. Tourism plays a significant role in shaping Botswana’s global image,” she said.
She further highlighted that the tour will present her with an opportunity to share Botswana’s tourism attractions with the world and would take her a long way in the competition.
Meanwhile, Miss Botswana’s executive director Benjamin Raletsatsi expressed gratitude to BTO for always giving queens the opportunity to visit tourism sites in preparations for the finale.
“We are incredibly grateful for the role BTO has played in amplifying the Miss World Botswana initiative over the years. Their contribution has been vital in helping us promote the pageant’s influence while boosting the country’s tourism sector,” he said.
For her part, BTO chief executive officer Keitumetse Setlang stated that it sounds just right to afford Gaothusi an opportunity to showcase the country’s tourism.
