Miss Botswana Ruth Thomas homecoming this Friday

Reigning Miss Botswana queen, Ruth Thomas is set to embark on her maiden voyage to her home village, Masunga, this Friday.

Fresh off from taking a month off her duties as the Miss Botswana queen, Thomas will be welcome in Masunga since being crowned as the new back in March, Miss Botswana organization has revealed.

Through a statement this morning, Miss Botswana said the proceedings of her maiden voyage will be at the main kgotla of Masunga where community people could come and witness the moment.

“Miss Botswana organisation is pleased to announce the official homecoming of Miss Botswana 2025 at her beloved home village. This momentous occasion will take place on Friday June 20 2025 at the Masunga main kgotla,” read a statement.


Miss Botswana said Thomas’ official return back to her home village as Miss Botswana is a moment that should be celebrated not only by her but most importantly by the community that has seen her grow.

“Thomas, a proud daughter of Masunga was recently crowned and her homecoming marks a significant milestone in her journey, bringing the crown back home and sharing her joy and gratitude with the people who raised and supported her,” Miss Botswana said.

Miss Botswana has appealed to the public to join the queen in her journey back to her home village.

“Batswana from all corners of the country are invited to come and celebrate the crowning of this remarkable young woman who now carries the nation's crown with pride and purpose,” the statement read.

Further details on the maiden voyage will be disseminated by Miss Botswana.
