The reigning Miss Botswana, Seneo Mabengano, is eyeing the Miss World crown. She is leaving tomorrow for the Miss World finals in China. The Miss World pageant will be taking place in the city of Sanya where a bevy of beauties from different continents will be fighting for the number one title on December 19.

“As I look forward to my new journey which takes me to China, I promise to do my very best to be counted amongst the worthy beauties to wear the Miss World crown,” Mabengano said.

“I know and believe that with your prayers all is possible.”

As the country’s ambassador, Mabengano states that she would hoist the flag high and sell the Botswana brand as much as she can.

“As a proud Motswana I will be sharing the beauty and warmth of my country with all those I will meet in China,” she added.

The Mmadinare native is aware that the competition will be tough because all the models are eyeing the title.

She has to leave early for the world-class pageant so that she meets up with other contestants and they perform a number of tasks prior the main grand finale that will be held towards the festive season.

Prior to departing for the Miss World pageant, Mabengano has worked on a number of projects locally.

“I have made it, my mission to help the less privileged children around Botswana by assisting various organisations to raise awareness and collection of amenities for them,” he said.

She recently played a part in helping with the collection of food and hampers for Matsha students at Marina who survived a fatal car accident last week.
