Meet Nigma, the fear less female comic

The local comedy scene is well known to be a male dominated one. It has even been dubbed the patriarchy comedy society, but for comedienne Olebogeng ‘Nigmaí Tsiako, the comedy industry accords an equal gender platform.

Nigma caught the attention of Showbiz a few weeks ago when she was the only female trying her luck at the Soul Food Comedy auditions, hosted at Thapong Visual Arts Center.

She was contesting alongside comedy heavyweights such as Bambino, Charles Manase and Tulani Tau.
