Maitisong Festival official opening thrills arts lovers

Maitisong started on a high note when its energetic hosts, local radio presenters One Rabantheng and her colleague Reginald Richardson, of Gabs FM, intrigued the audience with their brilliant presentation, on Wednesday.

The fusion of Mophato Dance Theatre, Sky Blue Hub and Mobini kick started the performances with displayed dance moves. The crews this time came up with an innovative stage set up as dancers were dispersed across Maitisong amphitheatre.

When the audience was still fired up over the crews’s dance, an American poet, Dasha Kelly got the room emotional and quiet with her beautiful poem, which she dedicated to girls, encouraging them to keep their heads up and work hard no matter how harsh the world can be.
