Maitisong Theater will take advantage of Dalai Lama's visit

With a few days left before the Dalai Lama conference, Maitisong Theatre has announced that there will be an arts and culture festival taking place during his visit.

The four-day festival dubbed Awakening and Nourishing Tenderness: Lore Lo Ojwa Lo Sale Metsi has production that range from poetry, music, dance and film that carry the same concept of Botho, dialogue and culture linear to the Dalai Lama conference.

The festival will be from August 16 to 19 at different venues such as Thapong Visual Arts Centre, Maitisong Theatre and Village Cinema.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
