Legends Barbershop Launches Botswana’s First Fully Accredited Barber Training Academy

PRESS RELEASE: Legends Barbershop Botswana proudly announces the launch of its state-of-the-art Legends Training Academy, the first of its kind in Botswana.

Strategically located at Main Mall in Gaborone, this groundbreaking initiative marks a significant milestone in skills development, entrepreneurship promotion, and youth empowerment in the country.

The facility is fully equipped with modern, industry-standard barbering tools and resources, designed to provide hands-on training to aspiring barbers and entrepreneurs who are looking to build sustainable careers in the grooming and personal care industry.

Speaking at the official launch, Mr. Kealeboga Gaelebale, Director of Legends Barbershop Botswana, highlighted the urgent need to address the high rate of youth unemployment in the country: “As a brand deeply rooted in community transformation, we believe that the solution to unemployment lies in skills development and entrepreneurship. The Legends Training Academy is more than just a school — it’s a launchpad for economic opportunity, personal growth, and social change.”

The facility is BQA and HRDC accredited, ensuring that graduates receive formal qualifications that are recognized both locally and regionally. In addition to training new entrants, the Academy will also serve as a professional development hub for Legends’ existing staff, offering regular refresher courses to maintain the highest standards in grooming and customer service across all stores.

The Legends Training Academy is now open for enrollment to anyone passionate about learning the art and business of barbering. Whether one’s goal is to secure employment or start a barbershop of their own, the program offers both practical skills and business acumen.

Legends Barbershop invites the business community, corporate partners, and stakeholders in youth development to join hands in this impactful initiative. Opportunities for collaboration include sponsorships, internship placements, mentorship programs, and job shadowing opportunities for graduates.
