The third edition of Too Young To Be This Old took place this past Friday at the Cresta President Hotel.

Hosted by Triccs, the occasion featured comedians Jonny Pula, Bambino The Comedian, and Boldwin Bals Ramokate. In addition to comedy, the night included music, food, and beverages, creating a lively entertainment experience for attendees. Boldwin Bals, who also served as co-MC, opened the show with a performance centred on personal experiences and audience interactions. His jokes revolved around past relationships, including dating a former teacher who continued treating him like a student. He also joked about a relationship with a woman from Bobonong, humorously suggesting he considered having a child with her to keep her from leaving. His exaggerated storytelling and engagement with the audience set the tone for the night. Jonny Pula followed with a routine focused on language and social differences.

He highlighted how Batswana commonly alter English words, referencing phrases such as “Go Claimer” and “Tshasment”. His observations resonated with the audience, especially those familiar with these linguistic quirks. He also joked about his brown tooth and compared the experiences of the rich and the poor, delivering sharp punch lines that kept the crowd engaged. Bambino The Comedian brought relationship humour to the stage, covering breakups, misunderstandings, and dating struggles. His storytelling approach and exaggerated scenarios made his set one of the night’s highlights. His routine focused on relatable experiences, and his ability to connect with the audience added to the overall energy of the night. Beyond the comedy, the event featured music, providing entertainment between performances. Attendees also had access to food and beverages, adding to the relaxed and social atmosphere. The combination of stand-up comedy with music and refreshments contributed to the event’s appeal, making it more than just a comedy night.
