In a quest to grow his brand and be an internationally recognised star, local DJ and music producer, Latty, whose birth names are Leatile Motlhalamme, has relocated to South Africa

. In his social media handles, the young talent indicated that he left his comfortable life here at home with absolutely nothing to seek for greener pastures in South Africa. He also said this is because the music industry in SA is doing pretty well compared to locally.

He urged fellow young people to not be afraid to take risks in pursuing their dreams. In an interview with Showtime, Latty said he moved to SA to pursue his dream of being a world-star DJ and producer. “I have faith in God that everything will all work out. Plus I have read many biographies of many successful people and their stories are all similar in that if you change your life; work hard, speak it, believe it then you can achieve it. I am manifesting everything through faith. Ever since I arrived in SA, it has been great, yes there have been many challenges along the way but challenges are part of the road to success. I do my best and let God do the rest,” he said. Furthermore, he pointed out that being on this journey that he took is not easy as he faced so many challenges such as self-doubt, imposter syndrome, impatience, temptations like women, alcohol and more.

However, he said he tried by all means to avoid falling for these temptations and maintained his focus. “So far I am building my brand in alignment with my purpose of using my platform to inspire many and give hope to everyone pushing and feeling unworthy. I am showing them that God can bless even an ordinary person like me that most people did not believe in. I want them to know that they too are worthy and can do anything they put their mind into. So far I have linked up with DJ Sbu, Casper Nyovest, Somizi, DJ Cleo, Oskido, Vukani, Fifi Cooper, Professor and Pitch Black Afro. I asked God to help me drop my very first project this year because I have always dropped singles my whole career. I would love for it to be something authentic to me and my country,” he explained. Moreover, Latty indicated that he has grown to be more disciplined, love himself more and be more authentic.

He said he has grown to no longer need shock value by having naked girls or insulting people to get attention. He added that he noticed that does give a following but it does not last and did not give him real meaning or purpose. He, however, pointed out that whatever he was dropping, moving forward in terms of music would be in alignment with his purpose. “For the first time ever, I have been blessed enough to be nominated for a YAMA (Yarona FM Music Awards) for best Amapiano and I’d like to ask everyone to be a part of a huge milestone by voting, send BA05 (i.e. BA Zero Five) to 16106,” Latty ended.

UDC's 100 Days: Please deliver your promises!

We duly congratulate them to have ousted the long ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) from power. Prior to taking power from the BDP, the coalition had made several election promises that are credited for influencing change and swaying the people to vote in its favour. The party had made an undertaking, which its leader and President Duma Boko consistently bellowed in his campaign trail. These undertakings were promises that Batswana would be...
