The event was part of numerous Summer Xplosion activation events the organising team has been hosting at different venues across the country. The activation events, hosting different local artists and DJs is the team's effort to attract more attendees for their upcoming main event that will be held at the Duma FM Grounds on April 17. On the Gaborone activation event, the two fast growing artists got the whole club dancing. Juu Matere was the first one to treat his fans to some magical performances while his dancers captivated the audience with their brilliant dance moves.
He kicked off his performance with his most popular song that features a local Hip Hop star, Baxon dubbed 'Chobolo.' He then sung a few of his tracks, getting the audience including the VIP lounge dancing the night away. On the other hand, Chokoma who was a surprise act, performed his one song, then sampled his beloved song, Mother Tongue, before showcasing his dance skills and later telling the audience that if they want to him showcase his talent, they should buy tickets and ensure that they attend the Summer Xplosion event upcoming weekend. Both Chokoma and Juu Matere won the public's hearts after bringing in something different to the local music scene. The duo proudly sing their songs in their mother tongue just like Chokoma's song says, Sekgalagadi. Their talent for singing and dance moves scored them a number of fans.
