Joburg Ballet, a major South African ballet institution is billed to stage a performance at Maitisong on March 23, 2015. Joburg Ballet will have two shows on the day, with the first starting at 2 pm, and the second show at 7:30 pm.

With elegant moves, elaborate costumes, spectacular lighting and make-up, Joburg Ballet promises a breath-taking programme from classical ballets to contemporary routines bound to leave the audience entranced.  The company’s mix of white and black dancers, reflect the racial and cultural demographics of South Africa.

Joburg Ballet’s mission is to make dance an accessible form of artistic expression across society, and to enhance standards, training, development, job creation, opportunities, continuity, sustainability, tourism, international goodwill, and transformation.  The show will feature Botswana’s own Riza Ballet, from the ballet school owned by Rita Lee, who will open the floor for Joburg Ballet.
