FRANCISTOWN: The late Kwasakwasa legend, Jeff Matheatau, was laid to rest over the weekend.

People from different walks of life, including politicians and musicians, attended the funeral to pay their last respects to the departed superstar. Matheatau died on June 26 after a brief illness at his home. As a member of COSBOTS since 2014, he was a composer, songwriter, and performer of his music. His songs, such as Ngwanyana wa Ghanzi, Mapuo, Ko Moepong and others, will remain in the hearts of many.

Musician Vee Mampeezy described Matheatau as a loving person who was not jealous at all. He stated that he used to travel with the legendary artist, who always showed him brotherly love. Vee Mampeezy added that Matheatau was a kind-hearted person who was always helpful and had groomed and supported him well in the music industry.
