International Artists Exhibition

The Alliance Francaise of Gaborone recently hosted the ‘‘Save Me’’ Wildlife Conservation Art Exhibition, an initiative by 12 local and international artists from eight different countries united in order to response to the challenges faced by endangered wild species.

The international artists  have decided to sell their artwork and donate the benefits to the Botswana Threatened Wildlife Trust, an organisation whose main aim is to save and protect wildlife and nature for the future generation. They are hoping to make this an annual and global event. This first exhibition is proudly sponsored by John Carrolls Group, Spar and Alliance Française de Gaborone.

The participants of this year’s exhibition include the David Libby USA, Matt Biorn , Joost V.H South Africa
, Koketso Ditlhakeng, Totang Motoloki, Wilson Ngoni, Lesego Seitei( Botswana), Ngozi Chikura Nigeria, Rishmi Abhijith Chendra India Rika Franken Germany, 
Ron Fourie Zimbabwe
 among others. The organiser of the  event Ron Fourie is not only a unique and talented artist but a qualified horse trainer too. Amongst the speakers at the event was  John Carrolls, an American wine maker and owner of John Carrolls Group. He is also a  as a representative from the Cheetah Conservation Botswana. The

Gov’t must rectify recognition of Khama as Kgosi

While it is widely acknowledged that Khama holds the title of Kgosi, the government’s failure to properly gazette his recognition has raised serious concerns about adherence to legal procedures and the credibility of traditional leadership.
