“I used to make music for people to dance and rate me, now I am making music to change lives, educate and inspire people.”

This was said by Motswako lyricist, Thuto ‘Drama Boi’ Ramphaleng, as he announced the coming of his new and third album Township Music 2, which is a continuation of his debut album.

Besides the two albums, he also has another one, Wamakeishane under his belt

Drama Boi has already released three singles, Mahala, Bob Marley and Sala le Nna.

The new 14-track offering will be released next month. This is the rapper’s first album as an independent artist. It features a number of artists including  MMP Family, his sister Katlego, Rizz and Licky. On the production side, he worked with Ace J and Juz Beatz.

Drama Boi stated that Township Music 2 reflects an all grown-up Drama Boi who is mature and talks about real life issues.  He stated that the album is done and his production team is working on the final touches.

“I don’t want to reveal much details about the album, but what I can tell you is it won’t be disappointing,” Drama Boi said. He also said his plan is to make his new record one of the biggest in the country.

“I want to engage with the youth on this album and give them different roles to play as a way of eliminating unemployment”. He has also called on those interested in designing Township Music 2 album cover to send their sketches to him.  However Drama Boi stated that this being his first album as an independent artist, he had the power to give guidance on how the production should be. "Previously I did not have a voice because I was a signed artist.”

He hinted that the album will be available on various online music stores.
