Diamond Life and Reussite have joined hands with Botswana Life, to host a jam-packed activity day, which will be held on Saturday at Westwood International School from morning to afternoon. Different activities like zumba and yoga classes, as well as aerobics, are expected to keep the multitudes anticipated to attend this first ever health event.
One of the organisers, Karabo Mokgware, said the main purpose of the event was to teach people the importance of healthy living.
“As you know, obesity cases are rising worldwide and the mission of this event is not only to raise funds but also try to change the impression and the mind set of Batswana towards exercising and eating well balanced meals,” he said.
Mokgware added that they also have fitness training classes, which would be led by gym instructors from the BDF.
“There will also be presentations by different health professionals, like nutritionists, beauty therapists and personal trainers, as well as a health and welfare consultant. This presentation intends to alleviate people on healthy living. We are not only focusing on the inside, we also focus on the outward appearance, that’s why we also invited local beauty specialists and companies,” he said.
Different health companies are expected to exhibit their products and services at the event.
