Otsile Tonic Batshegetsi also known as Da Tonic Dawg from Mahalapye is a new kid in the local hip-hop music industry. In an interview with the young rapper, he said his love for hip-hop music started from a tender age.

He explained that he started singing at school where he also took part in singing competitions and ended up competing against other schools. As years passed, his singing talent grew and in 2015 to 2017 he took part in the President's Day singing competitions. He got position three in the hip-hop category.
This young man is a trap story teller. He released his first single dubbed Land Off Produced by Jay Black Music Production from Francistown in Mmanaka ward. He said in his second single, he featured the legendary Stiger Sola and the song is called Worst Behavior. His next new single will be recorded at Smash Flow Records ft K.D.R.S Record. The song will be hosted by Dr Frozer and Da Tonic Dawg. He said he writes his songs. Furthermore, he explained that he currently produces his music since he learnt from other producers over the years.

He added that the public gave his music thumbs up because they can relate to the messages portrayed. He added that the public buys his CDs in numbers. He added that his hip hop game was different from other artistes' because it potrays messages that the public could relate to and is also educational. He also said he always makes sure his songs are clean and do not contain vulgar language or hurt people in any way.
