Tonight is D- Day for Miss Botswana finals as 16 models will battle it out on the ramp for the Miss Botswana crown. The finals of the pageant will be held at Gaborone International Conference Centre (GICC). The winner of the pageant will walk away with a P100 000 cash prize.

The last Miss Botswana was held in 2013, where Rosemary Keofitlhetse was crowned the winner. The 2013 queen has not received her prize up now, even though her reign was much longer than usual one-year reign.

Miss Botswana media director, Tshepo Maphanyane, said the finals would be exciting and glamorous. She said models would not only be judged from what would take place tonight but also on the assessment that was done along the journey to the finals. The models have been going through assessments in the various bootcamps. “The night will concentrate on the contestants, what the country has to offer and the production,” she said.
