Cultural groups entertain multitudes

President Ian Khama was among the multitudes of people who thronged the National Stadium on Monday to celebrate the 47th anniversary of Independence. The day was decorated and marked by different cultural activities that included poetry, polka dance, setapa, dikhwaere and phathisi.

Many people came to enjoy the song and dance among them Vice President Ponatshegeo Kedikilwe and his wife, cabinet minister Shaw Kgathi, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Margaret Nasha, and diplomats.

Some of the groups that entertained the crowd are Gareng Ga Dithota from Khawa, Mhutsane Choir from Kang, Dipela Tsa Ga Kobokwe from Molepolole, Onkgopotse Manuel from Francistown and Morogo Wa Ngwana from Ramotswa.
