Coconut Lounge
Fresh, classic and colourful and art-inspired, the new lounge has an impressive menu comprising local and international cuisine. It is an all-inclusive lounge, which welcomes families to spend quality time together. Coconut Lounge can simply be described as out of this world, a place where good music, food, and style meet heartfelt hospitality.
Furthermore, the place is a great spot to relax after a long day or celebrate with friends. The traditional and distinctive interior design, which includes artwork that offers a sense of Africa brings that welcoming spirit. A pleasant and nostalgic experience is guaranteed with the variety of classic cocktails, mocktails and tailored menu. In an interview with Coconut Lounge Manager, Michael Njunja, he stated that whether one is craving local and exotic food, each dish at the Lounge is a master crafted for the adventurous breakfast, lunch and dinner.
He stated that the lounge targets a middle-class group, especially those people who dislike crowds just like those in the local club. “We wanted to come up with a unique place where people come and chill either alone, with friends, colleagues or even family,” he added. Njunja further explained that they are not a franchise. He pointed out that they are a lounge aimed to accommodate the middle class so they could enjoy their leisure as well. Speaking about their top-notch staff service, he said they employed a private company to train their employees to provide professional service that is on par with the lounge’s standards. He stated that they have about 30 employees including bar attendants, waiters, chefs, stock controllers, and security to mention but just a few.
He further said that they have specials on Sundays where one child per family gets a meal for free. “We also have happy hours on Fridays and Saturdays and all cocktails are sold for half price,” he added. He said that children are allowed inside the lounge from morning until 8pm. Njunja said they bring out the finest in terms of entertainment, thanks to their resident DJ Patluv.
