In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the artist revealed that "after months of endless meetings and meticulous planning, Toro Music Festival became a living and breathing reality, bigger than he could have imagined. He therefore offered his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had a hand in making it happen. It found strength in the unwavering support of Minister Tiroeaone Ntsima, who reminded us that when trade and creativity meet, great things happen," he stayed.
Furthermore, he also extended his gratitude to Minister Motsamai Motsamai whom he said elevated his dream through generosity and guidance. He added that Motsamai's presence affirmed the importance of celebrating people's roots. "Tau Grading came to the party providing a venue and a canvas to paint a picture of this momentous occasion which will go down in the history books of the Botswana music Industry. None of this would have been possible had it not been for Desmond Lunga and Salim Kegodile who helped build this from scratch with unshakable commitment and dedication. It came alive in light and sound, in design and detail, through the brilliance of Colours of Sound and Zonetwo Printers, " he added. He also said they created more than infrastructure but a pure magic for the occassion. In the statement, Chokoma pointed out that the rhythm of the festival pulsed through the efforts of RB2, their passionate media team, and the incredible local artists who turned the stage into sacred ground. He said it reached the ears and hearts of thousands thanks to the incredible support of Yarona FM, who helped amplify this vision far and wide.
