Botswana’s celebrated songstress, Charma Gal, has signaled plans to take her popular Kgosi Ya Mosadi festival beyond its traditional Greater Gaborone base.

The move is aimed at making the cultural event more inclusive and accessible to communities across the country.

Speaking in a recent interview with Arts&Culture following her performance at the Stanbic Bank Music N Lifestyle Festival, where she shared the stage with Culture Spears, Charma Gal emphasised the importance of decentralising the festival. She noted that while the event has previously been hosted in Gaborone, Molepolole, and Tlokweng, locations all within a 100-kilometer radius of the capital, there is a growing need to reach audiences in more remote areas.
