The country’s most southern town is already showing signs of the winter ahead but revellers got the best warming in a thrilling BWOB line-up of performers. The event, which is characterised by a Deep House to Soul music lifestyle, proved worthwhile on Saturday. South African DJ and producer, Chronical Deep, stole the limelight. He diverted from his accustomed Deep House set to a 3-step Afro Tech sub genre early in his just over an hour set. The hit maker showed good transition into Deep House song selection in the middle of the set.
He went on to end his set on the high, playing some of his biggest hits, Neo and Hayi Baba. Judy Jay, also a headliner from South Africa, proved her mettle on the night. A number of exclusive hits could be heard on her set as he stuck to some of the popular songs in the Deep Soul House genre. Frostbite had earlier on brought a different mix into the event with a classic RnB and Hip Hop. He infused his set with music, the majority of which is from the 2000s and was loved by those in attendance. Thuli Tools brought the AmaPiano set on the night while Basho Vision also dropped a memorial one-hour set on the night. Despite being a Deep House infused event, BWOB also catered for revellers of different tastes.
