Born into poverty, where fare could be chicken feet and cabbage, young businessman, politician and socialite Bruce Nkgakile has finally spoken out about his much publicised 29th birthday cake worth P 47,000.

The  cake, which has set tongues wagging, was purchased for his birthday party held at his restaurant, My Kind of Place (MKOP) this past weekend. Upon posting a picture of the cake which weighs 30kg on social media, it became the talk of town.

My News caught up the birthday boy who waxed lyrical about the cake and his lifestyle generally. “It’s all about what makes you happy. That’s why I spend the way I do,” he said, arguing that while some people give away their monies to church, others spend it with their friends or buy what they love.
