Billy Ocean amongst Hamptons Jazz fest headliners

One of the country’s celebrated jazz festivals, the Hamptons will be bringing for the first time into the country one of the biggest recording British stars, Billy Ocean in their next instalment.

According to event manager, David Letshwiti, Billy Ocean whose birth name is Leslie Sebastian Charles will be performing in Botswana for the first time. He said the legendary singer was excited to perform at the Hamptons Jazz Festival next year.

“Ocean has never performed in Botswana (before) and is excited. He has sold over 30 million records in his lifetime,” he said.

The Projects Magazine today launched The Future of Mining Summit, set to become the country’s premier mining conference. The event is scheduled for 12th and 13th of June 2024, at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone.
