Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz hoists the flag in Stockholm

Gospel music ensemble Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz hoisted the Botswana flag in Stockholm, Sweden in their debut performance at the International Gospel Concert.

Aregopoleng Gospel Boyz left the country last week to perform at the weeklong international event, which is still on going. The gospel group consists of four members Kepadile Mantswenyane, Thato Andina, Kagiso Magano and Tumisang Kagiso Marumoagae

“A lot has happened. We attended workshops where we learnt a lot of things. We also performed with the Stockholm mass,” one of the group members, Magano said.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
