FRANCISTOWN: A 30-year-old geologist from Ramotswa, Lilian Andries, will represent Botswana at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand.

The Miss Universe pageant is scheduled to take place on November 21, where Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark will crown her successor at the end of the event. Surprisingly, there was no sign of Andries' predecessor, Dr. Thanolo Keutlwile, to hand over the crown to the new beauty queen. The runners-up for the competition were Dabilo Moses and Wangu Modise, respectively.
