Authors will on March 28, 2026 get the opportunity to learn about their rights and other related matters during a workshop dubbed All Things Books.

The event is scheduled for March 28, 2026 at Stanbic Bank Incubator (Fairgrounds Mall). Organised and curated by Poeticblood Publishers under the leadership of Dr Lame Pusetso, the organisers explained that the workshop was inspired by the recurring gaps observed in the literary space, particularly around authors’ rights, copyright, ISBN registration, royalties, grants, and market access. In an interview, Pusetso said the workshop All Things Books was created to bridge that gap and empower authors with knowledge that strengthens both their craft and careers.

"Many writers publish books without fully understanding how to protect their work or benefit from it to the maximum," said the organisers. Pusetso explained that the idea is for t attendees to leave with a clearer understanding of their rights as authors, practical knowledge on copyright, ISBN registration, royalties, grants, and procurement. "It is our aim to instill author's with confidence to navigate the publishing and literary industry more professionally" she said. The workshop is targeted at published authors, aspiring authors, writers and poets, self-published creatives, students pursuing writing or creative fields, publishers and literary practitioners.
