Expert calls for DTC Botswana competitiveness

While Botswana has won the battle to have the Diamond Trading Company international (DTC London) relocate to Gaborone, an expert in the diamond industry has warned that other diamond producing countries may push for the sorting and selling of diamonds in their countries too.

The Israel-based expert, Chaim Even-Zohar, said in an e-mail interview that such demands would not constitute the violation of any agreement between Botswana and De Beers.
