Only P887k recovered from P380m stolen by workers

There were 1,003 reported cases of stealing by employees between 2020 and 2024, with the bulk of the incidents tied to the COVID-19 period. Out of the 1,003 reported cases, 168 cases were prosecuted, and 130 people were convicted out of the 148 people suspected. Only P5,041,007.24 was restrained from the whole P380,457,720, and only P887,000 was confiscated.
