Boxing grabs two gold medals

Botswana ended the boxing competition on a high after winning two gold and three bronze medals. Light flyweight boxer Mohammed Otukile in the boys’ team was the first to clinch gold followed by girls’ light weight pugilist, Keamogetse Kenosi.

Kutlwano Ogaketse (men’s bantam division),  Katlego Oalotse (women’s middle division weight ) and Koketso Dipogiso (women’s fly weight) all won bronze. 

Botswana fielded eight boxers in the Youth Games. All the three girls in the team won medals.  In the men’s light fly division finals, Otukile eliminated his Nigerian opponent Oyakojo Muyideen Ojo 2-0.
