Young teacher quits job to focus on farming

MATHANGWANE: As most youth are having sleepless nights trying to secure paying jobs, it is a different story for 33-year-old Shepherd Akujalo Stephen of Masunga who recently quit teaching to focus on farming.

Stephen disclosed his love for farming during an open day organised by the Showa brothers (Terence and Sipho) on Boer goats at Serurubele lands on the outskirts of Mathangwane recently. He had attended the event to learn about Boer goats.

The Showa brothers hosted a popular Boer goat farmer from South Africa, Josef Kleynhans who had come to sensitise small stock farmers about rearing Boer goats for commercial purpose.
