Tebelopele hits a stalemate over retrenchment packages

FRANCISTOWN: The much heralded Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) rally became almost a non-event when the 'more that 300' new members did not pitch up at the star rally.

The war on HIV/AIDS came to a standstill for two days this week in the southern part of Botswana as employees of Tebelopele Voluntary Testing and Counselling Centres waited to hear about their retrenchment packages.

However, the issue stalemated after the employees rejected a one-month retrenchment package, saying they should be covered for six months at the least.
