Lot Moroka
The man will be missed in the lower courts. He kept the Regional Magistrates Court above others with his fearless adjudication of cases that were brought before him. The former Regional Magistrate (South) and High Court judge designate, Lot Moroka will be remembered by many for his no-nonsense attitude in his courtroom.

He became a household name for sending the Who's Who of Botswana to jail for what he believed were their injustices against society. Those who have gaone through him include permanent secretaries and directors of government departments. Moroka did not care whether you were friends with the President or had influential backup from the Government Enclave. Once he felt there was enough evidence to send you to jail, he did. Former PS Elvidge Mhauli, the late Debswana MD Louis Nchindo, Garvas Nchindo, Joseph Matome and PPADB Executive Chairman Armando Liongjanga all passed through Moroka and convictions followed (except for the late Louis Nchindo Sr).
