FRANCISTOWN: The miners know the risks of the work they do and they minimise such risks as best as possible, a mining and management consultant, Thuso Dikgaka revealed this week.

A mining engineer by training, Dikgaka said that when mine management at an operation generally do something to manage the risks, then miners have less to worry about.

“When glaring risks are not effectively managed, miners have a reasonable ground to raise alarm and say we are in danger,” he noted.
