Going back to Takatokwane village

When I was recently asked by the editor to cover Kweneng West, I could not help going down memory lane as I recalled the time I did my national service (the now defunct Tirelo Sechaba) at Takatokwane village. Because of the bittersweet memories of my one-year stay there, I was immediately taken to the idea of touring Kweneng West.

As the Mmegi team comprising Moreri Sejakgomo and I leave the city of Gaborone, I cannot help but wonder whether I am going to be met with a lot of changes in the area.

I try to push all the bad memories that I have about Takatokwane to the back of my mind as I deliberately anticipate positive developments that must have surely happened in my long absence.
