SEROWE: Kgotla Autlwetse's political journey has been punctuated with hurdles and obstacles that this Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) diehard had to navigate.

His trials and tribulations are well documented for a man who joined the BDP as a youth in 1975. Today he is tormented by re-runs of the BDP Bulela Ditswe primaries even when he is headed for certain victory.

Until 2003, Autlwetse was a councillor in the vast Central District Council (CDC) at a ward then known as Serowe North West. The ward would later be sub-divided into two, resulting in Palamaokuwe and Serokolwane wards.
