New student book coupons welcome

This week, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development announced that beginning April this year, it will provide students with book coupons to enable them to purchase books from booksellers of their choice.

The announcement comes after several years of an unreasonable standoff between students and their sponsor, the Department of Tertiary Education Funding that went back to the days of the latter’s equally controversy-riddled predecessor, Student Placement and Welfare that stoked intermittent demonstrations and class boycotts by students.

The Projects Magazine today launched The Future of Mining Summit, set to become the country’s premier mining conference. The event is scheduled for 12th and 13th of June 2024, at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone.
