Lesedi Primary: An apt example of compassion

We commend efforts of Lesedi Primary School to help their ailing teacher by raising P3,000 for her medical fees as reported in this newspaper yesterday. Such efforts are very commendable in view of the fact that society is losing the values that keep it together and slowly embracing individualism. We also salute other Batswana, institutions and corporate entities who have in one way or the other showed that they care for others.

The gesture by Lesedi Primary School means that some of the salient values that both government and the nation holds dear are rooted among the people. For example, the Botswana society and its leadership has been at the fore-front of the campaign for a nation of compassionate people. Such a value is encapsulated in the national Vision 2016.
