Toyota, Honda maintain local market lead

Toyota held on to its title as the country's most preferred vehicle, accounting for nearly 40% of the 13,354 new vehicle registrations recorded in the first three months of the year.

Toyota is by far the country’s most popular vehicle in terms of new and old registrations, being a firm favourite for many decades.

Figures in recent times, however, have shown that Honda is increasing in popularity, overtaking other previous favourites such as Volkswagen, Mazda and Nissan, particularly in terms of first registrations.
