Toyota car recall could spill over to Botswana

Some owners of Toyota vehicles in Botswana may have their cars recalled after the massive international recollection of Toyota brand cars extended to South Africa this week.

The bulk of Toyota vehicle dealers in Botswana buy their vehicles from Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM).
 South Africa media reported this week that Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) is expanding the massive recall of some of its vehicles to include South Africa. 

 The recall process started in the US, and was aimed at correcting accelerator pedals on vehicles that might be harder to depress, slow to return to the idle position, or remain open in a partially depressed position.
