Standard Bank Wins In Prestigious 2009 Africa Investor Awards

The Awards were presented at a gala ceremony held at the Paris Stock Exchange in Paris.
Standard Bank received four nominations in the competition; one for the Best Financial Reporting Company in the Banking Sector and, most significantly, three nominations for best analysts of the year for banking and other sectors, for Analysts based in Nigeria, and the UK.
Whilst celebrating milestones in inclusivity, with notably P5 billion awarded to vulnerable groups, the report sounds a 'siren' on a dangerous and growing trend: the ballooning use of micro-procurement.
