Standard Bank appoints three Deputy Chief Executives

Ben Kruger (49), Simpiwe Tshabalala (41), and Peter Wharton-Hood (43) have been appointed Deputy Chief Executives of the Standard Bank Group.

Tshabalala is currently Chief Executive of Standard Bank of South Africa (SBSA), while Kruger and Wharton-Hood are Group Chief Operating Officers.

Apart from the Group Chief Executive Jacko Maree (53), Kruger, Wharton-Hood and Tshabalala are the most senior executives in the group. Kruger joined Standard Bank in 1985, Wharton-Hood in 1997 and Tshabalala in 2000.
