Stanchart targets travellers with new airport branch

Standard Chartered Bank Botswana has become the first bank to open a branch at the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (SSKIA) targeting the ever increasing traffic at the airport.

Latest data from Statistics Botswana has shown that in the second quarter of 2016, the Gaborone-based airport constituted  50.9% of the 193,000 passengers who used the country’s airports which was a seven percent increase from the first three months of the year.

Speaking at the official opening of the branch this week, Stanchart head of retail banking Pedzani Tafa said it took them some years to finally open a branch at the airport.
