Food Lovers Market in Rail Park Mall could soon be bought by Spar if a proposed deal goes through after the Competition Authority last week announced that it received a merger notification between Kimbo Investments (Pty) Ltd and Tsetseng Retail Group (Pty) Ltd.

The transaction involves Tsetseng Retail Group trading as Spar Supermarket, acquiring certain assets and undertakings of the Food Lovers Market Franchise Business operated by Kimbo Investments at Rail Park Mall in Gaborone.Tsetseng Retail Group operates 21 Spar supermarkets across Botswana while, Kimbo Investments operates  two  Food Lovers Market Franchise Stores in Gaborone. Both Tsetseng Retail Group and Kimbo Investments operate in the grocery retailing market in Botswana
