Shoprite chair has 30 days to appeal or lose P6.9m

JOHANNESBURG - Shoprite Holdings chairman Christo Wiese has 30 days to appeal a UK court decision that he forfeit 674, 920 (P6.9 million) he was carrying in cash out of Heathrow airport.

That's according to a UK Border Agency official contacted by Business Day on Friday afternoon.

"If he doesn't appeal, the UK judicial system will have a wonderful Christmas present from him," the official who preferred not to be identified, said.
