Under the amendments, VAT exemptions have been implemented on items such as cooking oil, liquid petroleum gas, salt, infant formula, baby diapers, sanitary pads or tampons, and condoms. Tractors and various agricultural implements have been changed from exempt to VAT zero-rated.
