More delays in Dikgatlhong Dam pipeline

SELEBI-PHIKWE: While the 400 million cubic metre Dikgatlhong Dam was completed ahead of schedule with the contractor issued a takeover certificate in January, the construction of a pipeline from the dam to the southern part of the country is behind schedule.

The pipeline contract commenced last October and is slated for completion in October 2013.

The contractor, China State Construction and Engineering Corporation in a joint venture partnership with Excavator Hire, has already done 14 percent of the work instead of the expected 31 percent.
