Luxury Phakalane hotel to open

The four-star, 80-room hotel at Phakalane Golf Estate is set to open its doors to the public "in the next week or so", says Managing Director, Lesang Magang.

The multi-million pula hotel was initially scheduled for opening earlier in the year in readiness for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in June/July but was delayed due to various reasons, including resistance by some homeowners in the estate.

"I can't comment much on the issue of the homeowners who did not want to see the development of the hotel as the matter is now before the courts, but we are very proud that finally we will be opening in the next week or so," Magang said in a telephone interview yesterday.
