Lucara Awards P30,000 To Diamond-Naming Winner

A Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) employee, Gofaone Tlhabuswe has walked away with P30,000 after naming the 1,758-carat diamond find, Sewelo.

Tlhabuswe from Gabane emerged victorious after beating over 22,000 entries that entered the diamond naming competition.

Speaking during the naming of the diamond recently, Lucara Diamond Mine CEO Eira Thomas said Lucara and the Karowe Diamond Mine, has had an epic journey.
